#asktheexpert My baby is 6days old. He cannot take breast milk from my wife. He is the first child of ours. But he could suck from others breast milk. Can we give him Nan 1?

UrvashiMom of a 8 yr 8 m old boy2 years agoA. Dont worry, Since your baby is too small, gradually he / she will learn to latch and even if you want to start with formula , that is also fine. Just go for the ones that have Prebiotic HMOs in it. But make sure to consult your doctor before starting formula. I give Aptamil Gold stage 2 to my younger one. You can express your breastfeed with the help of a breast pump and give it with the feeding bottle that is also good way to express from the other breast that the child is not taking from and otherwise of course you can give formula feeding if you need to
