My baby is 6.5 months old. We started semi solids a month back..
His daily routine is I feed him 1 piece of mashed and boiled apple at 11am followed by mausambi juice (50ml) or mashed watermelon at 3pm followed by rice daal (60-80ml) or mashed banana (0.5 piece) or mashed boiled carrot at 6pm.. I feed him breast milk as per demand..
He has never vomited or never forced him to eat, he feeds willingly.. am I feeding him too much? How much should I feed him ?

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. its fine if baby is properly digestion. no quantity xan be fuxed as varies as per everyone's apetite After your baby has completed 6 month of age, you can gradually start weaning foods. Keep in mind that weaning is a gradual and time taking process and baby takes time to switch to foods, other than breast milk. You can start with rice porridge, Ragi porridge. Also you can give mashed fruits like chikoo, banana, papaya, pureed Apple, etc. You should avoid giving animal milk to the baby before he is 1 year old and also avoid salt and sugar for him till that age. Simple homemade foods which are easy to digest fresh ,Cerelac nestum can be offered. keep giving water also after 6 month complete and breast feeding to be continued too.

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 5 m old girl3 years agoA. hi well , yes the amount of food is much. but as each and every child is different and so their apetite is different . if your child feel comfortable with it , showing no problem then no need to worry about it much.
