#AskTheExpert my baby is 5 months old and still passing stool during breastfeed in the day since birth. he is totally on breastfeed. he passes motion 8-9 times a day. is this normal.

Author of questionMom of a 4 yr 3 m old boy3 years agoA. okay thankyou sir. in 3rd month he was passing stool 4-5 times only but now he is passing stool almost after every feed. also there is bad smell in his potty.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. gastrocolic reflex is very normal in children. in this phenomena the child is having semi solid to solid stool after every episode of of food / milk intake. if the growth / weight cgain of the child is proper there is no need to worry about this phenomena. usually this phenomena decreases with increasing age of the child
