#AskTheExpert My baby is 37 days old and his crying and giving pressure during pee is increased lot. I drank milk n dates, is it fine or dates will increase gas ??

Can have dates.. most of the time crying before urination is normal . newborns and infant don't know how to initiate urination and defecation so they do strain too much causes pain and baby start crying . but crying during passes of urine indicate urinary tract infection condult once ur doctor

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi no mam ,there isn't any connection with taking dates and child feeling pressure while urination. mam , little bit straining is ok but if a child is having other symptoms like fever, irritability, urine with fishy or foul smell too then please visit your pediatrician. please offer plenty of breastfeeds to your child.
