#AskTheExpert My baby is 3 months old and completely is on breast feed. In winters, I suffer from cold allergy due to which I have to take levocetrizine with montelukast regularly during nights. Will it have any adverse effect on my child. What should I do? Please suggest.

A. hello...most mild medication is allowed in breastfeeding ... except for certain strong harmonal n antibiotics u can take mild medicines...There are certain foods which should be avoided in breastfeeding...also as coffee and tea contain caffeine have only one or ywo cups max....also avoid chocolate spices (cinnamon, curry, chili pepper) citrus fruits and their juices, like oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruit strawberries kiwifruit pineapple the "gassy" veggies (onion, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, cucumbers, and peppers) fruits with a laxative effect, such as cherries and prunes...
