Q.

#asktheexpert my baby is 3 month 3 weeks old, she is not breastfeeding, though I have good supply, sometimes I have to pump and feed her, she constantly suckles her thumb, even when I try to breastfeed her she turns away from breast and starts crying loudly and even worse when I try to feed her in sitting position. I could only feed her when she is asleep.

A. very important to see that position and attachment while breastfeeding the child is proper. if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this. see videos on you tube for breastfeeding position and attachment. take plenty of water, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk fdor increasing breast milk for yourself. take 15 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor.

A. hello of the babies not taking the feed directly you can even express the milk and feed the same using a bpa free bottle like babyhug show the baby will be able to take which would be better and absolutely nothing to worry about
