#AskTheExpert my baby is 2.5 month old as she gained only 500g weight for 1 month so my pediatrician prescribed me domstal 10mg tablet to increase milk supply is that safe for my baby and is the weight gain sufficient please do reply thank you

A. Weight gain in a child is a good indicator for proper health of the child and there should be a regular weight gain as per the age of the child. if there is not a proper weight gain it can be because of many factors and three most important causes are Baby not taking enough hicalories Baby is not absorbing the enough calories which the baby is taking Baby is burning too many calories . So a proper assessment is very important to know the cause regarding this .

A. hello yes you cN Tke NOT a problem and baby gaining a minimum if 600 g to 800 g per mo th means bBY WEIght ia good not. a problem and any concern then it is better to check with yiur doctor and he will be able to guide you accordingly which os better
