A. Green colour stool is normal only,  If baby is passing urine minimum 6-8 times per day.  Don't give so much importance to motion unless blood in motion or bad smelling motion.   Consistently green stools in the breastfed baby can indicate an imbalance of foremilk/hindmilk,  often resulting in frothy green stools. ... Teething can also bring about green stools due to increased saliva.   A lot of green vegetables or something with green food coloring in mom's diet also cause green colour motion in baby. ot

A. Green stools are normal in formula fed babies. But if u r exclusively breastfeeding then Green stools may also be due to the fact that baby is getting only low fat fore milk(milk that comes first) as they don't feed longer in one breast and switch breasts pretty soon. If u let the baby feed longer in one breast then he will get the high fat hind milk which comes later. But if the green stools continue or the consistency of the poop changes like too loose or too tight then u can consult with your pediatrician once. Also If ur baby is continuously passing white or grey colored stools then it's better to consult with your pediatrician. White or grey colored stools may indicate lack of bile which is the digestive fluid secreted by the liver and stored in gallbladder. So it's good to get ur doctors advice on this.
