A. Toe walking is fairly common in toddlers around 18 months as they’re still learning to walk and find their balance. Most children outgrow this behavior naturally by age 2 to 3. However, if your child consistently walks on toes without putting heels down, or shows signs of tight calf muscles, stiffness, or balance issues, it’s a good idea to consult a pediatrician or pediatric physical therapist. They can assess if any treatment or exercises are needed to help your child walk normally and prevent future problems.
