Mom of a 2 yr 10 m old boy2 years ago
Q.

#asktheexpert My baby is 10 months old..we check his weight every week...we have observed that for the past 1 month his weight was steadily increasing by about 80-100 grams per week..but this week it has fallen by 55 grams. He is under weight as per his age..i.e. Only 7 kgs and 20 grams. Why has his weight reduced this week instead of increasing? What should i do?

A. Teething may have started with the child or maybe there is lots of appetite with the child if you have seen any of that also also as that time sometimes sometimes can lead to loss of weight also your child is gaining weight good enough like hundred grams per week is very good but in general also the child is quite underweight the child is maintaining a weight gain for 6 to 7 months old child so all in all you have to get a check up done with your doctor
