#AskTheExpert My baby is 1 month old. Can my wife take covid vaccine? If yes which one is best for her.. and is it safe for my child?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Covid vaccination like covishield/ covaxin in the breastfeeding mothers can be given very safely according to the latest recommendation which is approved now .
minor complications like fever lethargy pain at injection site can be handled safely by taking paracetamol .
only pregnant women and children are not included in this list.
mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination verjyy safely with no side effects in the child.
