#asktheexpert My baby has turned 5 months old and I wanted to know whether we can give formula milk to him or not ?? And for this, should we consult the doctor first or we can buy ourselves.

A. Hai good afternoon !! If you havent enough mothers milk then you can substitute with formula milk on advice of paediatrician . Along with breast milk or formula milk start semi solid foods fruit and vegetable puriees,mashes,cerelac,porridge,idly,dalia once or twice a day... but check suitability of every new food item.
