#AskTheExpert My baby has completed 8 months and running in 9th, he is suffering from cold and cough since past few days. Gave medicine to him however cold and cough is still remain the same. Is it due to the teething?Could you plz let us know the symptoms of teething.... Thanks

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 11 m old girl4 years agoA. yes cold and cough s flu. cold and cough is viral mostly due to the season change . Start giving steam inhalation indirect just sit with baby and steam on in surrounding . Cough if too much only then start syp for it after examination . no foods can cause cold because it s an infection .

Symptoms of teething : a) Drooling : Help your baby stay dry by putting a bib. b) Swollen gums : red and inflamed gums, a gentle massage with your forefinger on the swollen area may provide some relief. c) a faint whiteish mass below your baby's gum d) baby may feel uncomfortable and cranky
