what you can give now is nasal saline drops which is salt water and can be given again and again to decrease nasal blockage as well as cough and cold
try to prevent temperature variations around the child and keep the child well covered

To use saline solution, lay the baby down on their back and, if possible, slightly tilt their head back (don't force it, though). Then spray two to three drops of saline spray into each nostril.
