#AskTheExpert my baby fever is not going down with calpol her weight is 13 kg she 19 months old I tried ibuprofen but she started showing vomiting and diarrhea

A. The first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. Give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever To body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be caxrried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. Higher medicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

A. In this here it is very difficult to comment properly until a proper examination or assessment is done to find out the exact cause so it is advisable to consult your doctor so that he could examine and evaluate properly and will guide you accordyhingly for this .
