#AskTheExpert my baby boy is still not speaking .....is there any reason behind this?

A. it is mentioned here that your child is only one and half year old and it's way too soon to expect the child to talk fluently or even talk completely. keep speaking at least 300 words in front of the child per day and try to involve the baby in a conversation

A. Typically children say their first word around one year of age and then slowly acquire more words. Some children can say around 70 words at 18 months, however others take longer to get started. The key is that your child's receptive language, meaning what she understands, is not delayed.
