Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby boy completed 4 months and he will enter into 5th month tomorrow his head size is 42.5 cm. Is that normal or more. I have taken normal scan there is abnormal so dctr asked me to take MRI scan but I haven’t taken. Is it safe to take MRI for 4 months baby boy

A. hi your baby is 4 months old now head growth till this age should be around 7 cms which if added to normal birth circumference is approximately normal so just see if has any other symptoms

A. You should avoid taking MRI scans because obviously it’s not very healthy but if it is something which is unavoidable then it is important for you to go ahead with so now it is completely going to be a discussion whether you want to go ahead with it or not because in most of the cases we do not recommended to go for an MRI scanWrite Your Answer Here
