ExpertVandana SharmaNutritionist4 years agoA. Hello mom you have to first start with liquids for the baby and as the baby gets used to it gradually move to semi solids and mashed foods . You have start in small quantities first and the gradually increase the quantity and variety and number of meals . Alternate it with your feed.
You can give steamed and mashed vegetables or soups , fresh fruit juices or purée or porridge made with ragi or suji or multigrain mix or kichidi
ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist4 years agoA. Dear mum, for 6 months old baby, give foods like ragi porridge, fruit purée, homemade cerelac, kheer. Then dal rice with vegetables, khichadi, curd. Later mashed paneer.
Add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible.
Beginning with 3-4 teaspoons, give top food 2 to 3 times a day and up to half katori every time.
Continue to breastfeed.
