A. 50 days is too short a time. He’ll do it any time now. But you too make an effort as a parent. Make an effort to laugh with him. By smiling & talking to him. Let him know what the word smile means. My 3 months grandson started smiling at 2 months as grandparents we kept on telling him to smile so now in he’s just completed 3 months on yesterday but now the minute we tell him to smile he smiles. So you have to help the baby also. Please do that. He’ll start smiling & you too will start smiling. Best wishes.

A. Chill the baby is just 50 days old. They have to adjust to colic, climatic changes, diaper rashes et al. So don’t go by the hard & fast rule , they generally take their time. You only take care that you are constantly talking to the baby with a smile, Even if he/she is crying. By the time they are 3 months old they smile to everyone. So patience is required for a mother, & keep working positively towards it by talking to the baby constantly with a smile. Bcoz Babies or small children are good imitators & they will imitate you. Be patient.
