#AskTheExpert my 5 year old child is 5 years and weigh 16 kg..She doesn't like to eat anything and takes 1 hour to finish her regular meal. can you suggest something

A. Low appetite can be due to reasons like low zinc levels or too much dairy products or less gap between meals etc. Include ajwain , ginger, lemon or carrot juice, coconut water, curd with mint in the kid's meals to boost the appetite. South Indian rasam will also increase the appetite. Also encourage her through small rewards. Give one sticker everytime she finishes her meal. Let her paste it on her cupboard. When she collects ten stickers give her a small gift. Let her know in prior how she can earn that gift.
