Q.

#AskTheExpert My 5 months old daughter has thin layered craddle cap patches in hair roots. And it is still not clear since birth. Sometimes craddle cap patch came out along with hair (a single patch combines group of hair) . Is it really craddle cap or something else? How we can treat it and when it will clear out automatically? pic is attached for reference.

A. look in like cradle cap.. it is completely harmless, not contagious, and usually disappears by 1 year of age Rub a small amount of a pure, natural oil – such as almond or olive oil – on your baby's scalp and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Gently comb out the flakes with a fine-tooth comb or brush them out with a soft brush.
