Q.

#AskTheExpert my 5 months old baby had fever yesterday and we gave her paracetamol. today she is fine but I'm afraid she'll get fever again as I'm still down with cold. should I give her dose of medicine again just for precaution? I'm exclusivity breastfeeding her.

A. don't panic unnecessarily. baby on touch can have warm soles and head. It s a normal and healthy thing. Check temperature at armpit level and if above 99 fahrenheit then we treat fever in babies. Can give drops paracetamol like  calpol / T 98 / Sumol as per ba y weight . Can be repeated every 6 hours .

A. good morning I must tell you that the medicine for fever should be given to the child only and only when the baby is having hundred or more temperature otherwise it can cause low grade fever which is actually more dangerous
