Q.
#AskTheExpert my 4 month baby wants to sit in lap instead of laying down. Today he starts to balance himself for few second in sitting position. Should I encourage this or wait for 1 more month to start this activity? Does sitting so early can hit his back?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. you can make the child sit with support after completion of 5 months of age. the thing is that the bafck of the child should be well supported along with the head as well as the bottom of the child. after making the child sit if you see that the child is uncomfortable then kindly avoid sitting of the chilfd again for at least one to two weeks
