#AskTheExpert My 4 month 11 days baby not able to fully control his neck. Always brings his hands to mouth!

A. neck holding of the child should be present by 4 months to maximum 5 months of age. regular massage of the back as well as the neck will help in strengthening the muscles of this area. if neck holdingc and head holding is not proper by the end of 5 months it is important to meet the doctor for examination to find the cause of delayed milestones

Q. hello doctor my baby is 5months 25 days ..he was born through cesarean 3.2 kgs he is very active laughs ,makes all kind of coos ,different sounds he also brings his leg toe to the mouth and sucks ,responds to my voice very quickly ,he loves playing with toys he has a nice grip ,but he still has a Lil unstable control of his neck,if I make him to sit he has better control...my question is why has he not fully got his neck control yet??
