Q.

#asktheexpert My 3 year 8 months daughter has suddenly started withholding her potty. She used to go daily before, but now she will go with 1 or 2 days gap in between. Whenever I feel she is feeling the bowel November but trying to stop it, I try to encourage her to sit on the potty seat at least, but she resists that also. she was potty trained around 6 months back and we have had no problems since. Any help please ?

A. potty training can be started at the age of one and half year to 2 yrs age.for this you need to develop a conditioned reflex in the child by fixing a particular time regularly in which the child should be taken to the washroom and seated over the potty seat .do not force the child instead makve it a playful activity for not to make the child repulsive about it.slowly the child will learn to indicate before thattime. you can counsel the child regarding the indications and gestures to be told for urination and for toilet slowly the baby will adapt it.
