Q.

#asktheexpert my 2years old daughter have stopped talking with me and my family.Its been 2 month I live in a joint family when all my family members went for vacation it was just us for 2 months and when thy came back she completely stopped responding her name n talking though she use some actions should I consult a speech therapist or wait for sometime.

A. When toddlers suddenly stop speaking, speech therapists refer to this as language regression. Language regression often occurs around the time of a big life event, illness, or burst in another area of development.
