But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done ifj symptoms like excessiveg irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

Hi What is the temperature that you have not mentioned if you feel that the fever is still on the higher side or it is increasing then you go ahead with repeating the medicine after six hours of the first dosage and if you need you can start doing Thande Paani Ki Patti on the fore head of the child and he’s behind the need that is also going to help in reduction of the temperature over
