#asktheexpert My 2 year old talks only one word, is this normal. How long in general it takes for children to start speaking what we say. He doesn't look into eyes at all when speaking or when we call him, he just ignores.

A. it is important to meet the doctor to get the child examined. milestones assessment of the chdild needs to be done which will tell whether the child is having any development delay or not. the child will be assessded for four major milestones that is 1.gross motor milestone 2.fine motor milestone 3.social milestone 4.language milestone.
