#AskTheExpert my 2 and half year old has black staining on the teeth. what could be the cause of it?

A. Hi Staining of milk teeth can be due to various reasons but in children's it's not normal condition and it usually appears as signs of decay. so please consult Pediatric Dentist as early as possible for evaluation and required treatment.

A. hi...You may use some baking soda and water to brush your kid’s teeth in order to get rid of tooth discolouration. If your kid is taking iron supplements, it may sometimes lead to tooth staining. Therefore, be very deliberate with brushing your kid’s teeth if she is taking iron supplements so that any stains do not set in. These stains go away once the supplements are stopped
