A. Good morning, You also may notice your baby stretching and kicking his or her legs. This movement strengthens leg muscles, preparing your infant to roll over, which usually happens around 4 to 6 months of age. Babies, especially very young infants, often move around. These movements are pretty uncoordinated, with arms and legs flailing about, largely because of this rapid neurological development in the first few months of life. If your baby is wiggling and crying a lot, try swaddling her.
