A. If your baby’s face is full of pimples, it’s likely baby acne, which is quite common in newborns and infants. It usually appears as small red or white bumps, especially on the cheeks, nose, or forehead. What to do: Do nothing harsh – Baby acne usually resolves on its own within a few weeks to months. Keep the skin clean – Gently wash the baby’s face once a day with lukewarm water. Use a mild, fragrance-free baby soap if needed. Don’t scrub or apply adult creams – Avoid touching, squeezing, or scrubbing the pimples. Avoid applying oils, creams, or lotions that may clog pores unless recommended by your doctor. What can be applied (only if needed): If the acne is persistent, you may try applying breast milk on the affected area. It has natural healing properties. For excessive or inflamed acne, consult a pediatrician. They might suggest a mild medicated cream like Sebamed Baby Cream Extra Soft or a mild calamine lotion. If the condition worsens, spreads, or seems itchy or infected, a pediatric dermatologist should evaluate it.
