A. It is normal for some babies to get their first teeth late, and teething can start anytime between 6 to 18 months. If your 13-month-old baby has no teeth yet, there is usually no need to worry. Some possible reasons include genetics, calcium or vitamin D deficiency, or slower development. To support teething, give calcium-rich foods like dairy (milk, curd, paneer), ragi, almonds, and sesame seeds. Also, ensure enough vitamin D through sunlight exposure or supplements if advised by a doctor. If no teeth appear by 18 months, consult a pediatrician or dentist to check for any underlying issues.
