#AskTheExpert #Mamypoko my son has completed 26 months and he just says words and doesn't make sentences yet. does he have speech delay? doesn't show interest in learning new words. Has a vocabulary of around 50 words as of now. please advice.

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 26 months old and he is speaking few words but no sentences so don’t worry let him view television and hear the words then he may learn to talk properly

Hello ma’am Normally kids start to frame proper sentences after the age of three years and that too not proper slowly gradually they do it but if your child is not claiming any sentence not learning new words and anything then yes it could be a speech delay so I would advise you to consult a speech therapist once
