Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the stage 1 you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Banana mango plum boiled Apple and then gradually you can start with some Puri of carrot potato other foods which can be given are porridge of suji e sabudana can be prepared in breast milk or formula milk.
initially you can start with one or two tsp which can be grasdually ihncreased up till at least three meals in a day

Once the baby completes 6 months, you can start giving one solid meal or one semi solid meal per day initially and then increase gradually. Give either rice Ka Pani or Dal Ka Pani or rice porridge or any one fruit puree or stewed pear or stewed apple or any one vegetable puree or clear vegetable soup. Give sips of water in between meals.
