A. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day. If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool. No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard. It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before complxetion of 6 months of age. intermittent crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation.

A. If your son is having more than six bowel movements a day, it could indicate various factors such as dietary changes, infections, teething, or sensitivity to certain foods. Here are some steps you can take: 1. Monitor his diet: If your son has recently started solid foods, certain foods may be causing gastrointestinal upset. Consider keeping a food diary to track his intake and any changes in bowel movements. 2. Stay hydrated: Ensure your son is getting enough fluids to prevent dehydration, especially if he's having frequent bowel movements. 3. Check for signs of illness: If your son is showing other symptoms like fever, vomiting, or abdominal pain, it's important to consult with his pediatrician to rule out any infections or illnesses. 4. Consider food sensitivities: Some babies may have sensitivities to certain foods, such as dairy or gluten, which can cause gastrointestinal issues. If you suspect a food sensitivity, discuss it with your pediatrician for further evaluation. 5. Seek medical advice: If the frequent bowel movements persist or are accompanied by other concerning symptoms, it's best to seek guidance from your son's pediatrician for proper evaluation and treatment. Keep an eye on your son's overall health and well-being, and don't hesitate to reach out to his pediatrician if you have any concerns or questions.
