#AskTheExpert I think my baby has cold.. what do I do? He is 2 and a half months old.

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treagtment accohrdingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

Dear mum if in case you are not sure and if you are feeling any kind of congestion in chest the first remedy is start giving indirect steam to your little one be cautious while giving steam to your baby if you are a feeding mother you can also take feed steam along and keep yourself and your child well covered eat healthy seasonal foods and in case it is increased take doctors
