As weaning is initiated start with liquids
Liquids include daal, rice kanji, soups, steamed and puréed fruits or vegetables, coconut water, very thin Upma, or oats..
Start with 2 to 4 tsp twice a day and then slowly increase quantity and frequency
Do not add salt and sugar
Follow 4 days rule that is give any food for 4 days and then introduce new food to rule out allergy
Give boiled and cooled water
