Q.

#asktheexpert I had preterm delivery at 28 weeks and lost my baby. Still not sure on the reason for preterm birth. I'm pregnant again and have done cervical cerclage at 18 weeks. I have lots of doubts on cerclage. will it tear by itself? definitely bed rest needed? I'm working from home, Can I sit for a while and continue my work? Please guide me on this

A. Yes, of course you can sit for sometime and do your work. Usually the cerclage will not tear but if you are in labor, and if the cervical changes are happening, then the doctor will remove that.
