#asktheexpert I am a breastfeeding mother 3 months old baby and my question is my latching correctly and she is looking satisfied but she not gaining appropriate weight. what should I do for gaining weight

A. dear mum , the baby shd gain abt 500 gm wt per mth n shd b double the birth wt by 5 mth or less at one session feed from only one breast

A. Feeding baby every 2 -3hrly ,give multivitamin drop properly , adequate sleep then weight will start gaining

A. Mam sometimes what happens is even if you have good amount of breastfeeding it is not necessary that it would be that good in quality also that the child will gain weight despite having good quantity the qualities there which is why the child does not gain the expected weight in that case you should consult the doctor and combine your milk with formula so that your child takes both the feeding and gains better as per the progressing age
