#AskTheExpert How to keep an infant from contracting cough and cold from the mother when she is breast feeding? Mother is suffering from runny nose and slight cough. and the baby is 15 days old. also how to tell if baby is also suffering from cold?

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. yes can be given. cold and cough is viral mostly due to the season change . Start giving steam inhalation indirect just sit with baby and steam on in surrounding .
Cough if too much only then start syp for it after examination . no foods can cause cold because it s an infection .
