is always advisable to use a cotton saree to tie your abdomen after delivery which is more comfortable and easy to tie and is more effective
just take care when you are tying , you should be lying down properly and then roll the saree as tightly as possible.
You can start after one week of c section delivery and immediately a fter normal delivery
