#asktheexpert Hlo sir,, my daughter is 4 nd half year,, actually I just won't to know how we make feel safe our child from disease,,, it's a rainy weather nd one thing she has tonsils problem we are facing every month,, I didn't give any cold and sour thing to her, bt i won't to protect her from disease every time,, pls suggest me for tonsils problem and also tell something to build her immunity

A. many times adenoids and tonsils are enlarged due to recurrent viral or bacterial infections as well as in allergic cough and cold. you have to just control recurrent cough and cold due to any of the reasons and the child will not have more than reasonable increase in size of adenoid and tonsils. any surgical intervention is required only if the child is having difficulty in breathing as well as difficulty in swallowing and difficulty in sleeping axt night. many times nebulization as well as inhalation sprays are given to decrease the size and you can follow your doctor in this. it is advisable xto give flu vaccination to the child which will help in decreasing the chances of viral fever as well as viral cough and cold
