#AskTheExpert Hi sir, my daughter is 3years 3 mnths . she is not eating anything simply she ll cough when we try to feed. kindly suggest what need to make her eat. She is too lean . if we force her to eat she ll vomit. Any syrup to make her feel hungry. She wave 13kg. please please help me

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expe CDctorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
