A. you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk. if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping . there is no need to to go for hourly feeding pattern. also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits For making the child sleep you can do the following things You can swaddle the child to make the child comfortable You can sing a song / lullaby You can use a cradle or swing You can go for a car ride with the child Keeping the child on your shoulder you can walk briskly You can keep the child in between both the legs and gently swing the legs both sides. Sleeping pattern gradually improves with increasing age of the child
