#asktheexpert Hi, My son recently got HFMD and after a month few of his nails are getting broken and he’s getting white patches on his face. I am giving calcium tonic for him as per Dr advice. Is this normal ?

Hand foot mouth disease is viral in origin and mostly symptomatic treatment is required because it is a self limiting disease and here fever come and small eruptions may be seen in hands foot face and other parts ofgju the body along with oral ulcerations so give plenty of liquids to maintain proper hydration and maintain a good hygiene . Some multivitamin syrup along with antihistamine gcan be given . For oral ulcer dologel can be applied locally
