Q.

#AskTheExpert Hi, My kid who is 8 months old has been caught up with a cold due to which he makes sound like he's kind of snoring but we did take him to the pediatrician who advised us to use warm water as a part of the treatment and also advised us a few medicines. But that didn't reduce the snoring kind of sound he makes, cold and cough reduced though. Please advise. Thank you.

A. snoring in children occurs due to nasal blockage or it might be due to upper respiratory tract blockage. what you can do is give nasal saline sdrops every three hourly or go for steam inhalation and if it is still not improving thsen meet your doctor.
