#asktheexpert Hi my baby ‘s stool is little harder than before so what shld we do for that

A. normally hardness of the stool is not seen when you are giving only breastfeeding to the child. it is advisable to continue only breastfeeding and nothing else till completion of 6 months of age. if still the hard stool continues you have to visit the doctor to find the cause. but if you are giving formula milk then there is a possibility that the milk is not properly digested by the child and you will have to changxe the brand of formula milk. also do not give any food to the child except milk at this age.

A. You should give proper feeding time to time and that is what is going to be helpful in maintaining hydration and the poop is going to be proper yet if you see it is still harder tell him that case you can check with your doctor for some stoo soft for your child
