Q.

#asktheexpert Hi, My baby is 7months old now, we have vaccinated the first 3 vaccines in govt health centre. There they said next vaccine will be on her 10th month. But recently went to check up for her in the private hospital, they saying there is one vaccine needs to be complete on her 7th month. Am confused about these contradictions. Please assist me in this. Thanks in advance.

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you shhould give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an afdditional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .

A. Hello mom In a private hospital all the vaccinations are covered but in the government hospital only necessary vaccinations are given to babies. So you have to choose any one place and continue giving a vaccination from that place. If you are providing from government hospital then continue with that
