#AskTheExpert hi my baby is 1 year old she is doing potty 4 to 5 times .kindly suggest what to do

A. if the consistency of the stool is normal that is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency of the stool. the frequency can vary for 4 to 5 times per day and sometimes the child will not pass stool for fewz days also. Also do no worry about colour and smell of the stool when stool consistency is semisolid to solid. you have toz meet the dr only if it is totally watery stool or it is hard stool or the child is having pain while passing the stool.

A. hi frequency is normal nothing to worry about it. it is natural process. so if a child looks happy and active, gains enough weight, achieve age appropriate milestones then no need to worry about motions frequency and it's texture or color.
