#asktheexpert hi my 18 months old toddler is not saying many words but he is very active physical and mental engagement is very good.. he likes to do new things and curious but when I teach him any gesture or words he doesn't immediately imitate it. he does some gestures but only when he wants to do it.. what should I do

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl4 months agoA. Your child is only 17 months old I think you’re expecting way too much from your child please have patience slowly only the child is going to pick up and imitate on different things that you’re expecting your child to do
